Members of Congress Write House Dear Colleague Letter Urging Support for the SUD Workforce
Members of the U.S. House of Representatives in Congress wrote a bipartisan Dear Colleague letter, sent to the Chairman and Ranking Member of the House Committee on Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies, urging increased funding for two critical substance use disorder (SUD) workforce programs: (1) the SUD Treatment and Recovery Loan Repayment Program (STAR-LRP), and (2) the Addiction Medicine Fellowship (AMF) Program. The letter asks Congress to fund STAR-LRP at $50 million and the AMF Program at $30 million in Fiscal Year 2025.
