The Journal of Addiction Medicine Accepting Applicants for the Role of Statistical Editor
Application Deadline: April 30, 2021
Journal of Addiction Medicine (JAM) is accepting applications for Statistical Editors. Candidates must be familiar with scientific publishing, have a doctoral degree, and substantial knowledge of statistical methods.
Published six times a year, JAM’s mission is to promote excellence in the practice of addiction medicine and clinical research as well as to support addiction medicine as a mainstream medical specialty. The Journal is designed for all physicians and other health professionals who need to keep up to date with the treatment of addiction disorders. Published papers cover the spectrum of clinically relevant research (from case reports and case series to large clinical trials and health services research).
Statistical Editors respond to statistical and methodological queries from the Journal’s editors and review relevant sections of manuscripts when statistical review is deemed necessary by the editors. Typically, several requests per month are expected. The Statistical Editors may also be consulted by the Journal’s editors regarding methodological standards for the Journal. Statistical Editors receive an annual $500 honorarium, are listed on the Journal’s masthead, and are members of the Journal editorial board. The editor is appointed for a three-year renewable term.
Please submit your CV and cover letter (maximum one page) describing your interest and how your skills, experience, and interests match the requirements to EditorSearch@asam.org. Candidates invited for an interview will be asked to disclose conflicts of interest.
