Community Catalyst, Faces & Voices of Recovery and ASAM are conducting The Patients Lead project

Patients Lead: Community Catalyst, in partnership with Faces & Voices of Recovery and the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) are conducting The Patients Lead project to amplify the voices of people with lived experience of substance use disorders in shaping research and treatment to improve recovery outcomes. Patients Lead aims to identify what outcomes matter most to people with substance use disorders and provide recommendations for research and clinical practice improvements. Preliminary findings show that some of the outcomes that matter most to people with lived experience—for example feeling self-empowered and being a fully functioning member of society—are missing from the standards by which treatment and services are typically judged. You can learn more here [link to attached] about how this project relates to you as clinicians and researchers interested in improving quality of care. Patients Lead is funded through a Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute® (PCORI®) Eugene Washington PCORI Engagement Award (12786-CC).
