Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Opportunities

A simple process to get involved.

volunteer

ASAM would like to encourage you to use your voice, expertise and knowledge to increase addiction prevention, treatment, remission and recovery through volunteer opportunities. Here you will find opportunities to serve on ASAM’s councils, committees, subcommittees as well as task force groups. Terms of service can be short or long term depending on the charge of the group.

Peruse the list of open "Volunteer Opportunities" listed below. If you are interested in joining, please click on the opportunity and complete per the instructions. Opportunities will be posted throughout the year so come back often to see what is available. ASAM Committees and Council are comprised of members only. Subcommittees, Writing Committees and Task Force may be comprised of members and non-members.

ASAM is dedicated to increasing diversity and inclusion within our Society. As part of this effort, we highly encourage individuals from historically underrepresented groups in the addiction medicine field to join us in our mission.

Addiction Medicine Data Initiative

We need your help. We have an unprecedented opportunity to improve quality in the field of addiction treatment, but it will only work if we have strong participation by addiction medicine specialists. ASAM is partnering with the American Psychiatric Association to develop a practice registry for addiction treatment called AMNet. As an AMNet participant, you will use real-time data to engage with your patients and track their outcomes while informing quality improvement efforts. Click here.
