ASAM Joins Letter to CMS Highlighting Widespread Parity Noncompliance in Medicaid Managed Care and CHIP

ASAM recently joined a sign-on letter from the Kennedy Forum in response to a request for comments from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to assess compliance with mental health parity and addiction equity in Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP). The letter documented widespread parity noncompliance in Medicaid managed care and CHIP and recommended several actions from CMS aimed at remedying these issues.
