ASAM Endorses Reentry Act

On April 17th, ASAM joined 125 other organization in endorsing the Reentry Act in a letter to the Speaker and Minority Leader of the U.S. House of Representatives, the Majority and Minority Leaders of the U.S. Senate, the Chair and Ranking Member of the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee, and the Chair and Ranking Member of the Senate Finance Committee. The Reentry Act would allow incarcerated individuals to receive medical services supported by Medicaid thirty days prior to the individual's release, which is currently prohibited by the Medicaid Inmate Exclusion Policy (MIEP).
