Now for the best therapeutic Thanksgiving or Christmas gift that you can give yourself:  A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, a creation that among its many overlapping elements includes an examination of the relationship between an alcoholic father and son.  It is an extraordinary film, in a long sequence of productions by or with Tom Hanks that seem always to be described as “…his best movie yet.”
