ASAM and WISAM Comment on Proposed Amendments to Wisconsin BadgerCare Reform Demonstration Waiver
ASAM and the Wisconsin Society of Addiction Medicine submitted a letter to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS), Division of Medicaid Services on its proposed amendments to provisions of its Section 1115 Demonstration Waiver (BadgerCare Reform Demonstration Waiver). The letter supported the proposed expansion to residential treatment, opposed the punitive measures linked to the proposed mandatory drug testing, offered recommendations for the appropriate use of drug testing and requested funding for the expansion of clinician workforce capacity.
