ASAM Partners with Top Addiction Organizations for New Course

ASAM is very excited to share news of a partnership with MedU, along with TRI and the Hazelden-Betty Ford Foundation to produce the Course on Addiction and Recovery Education (CARE) for medical students across the country.

ASAM Board member Dr. Mark Schwartz and ASAM President-Elect Dr. R. Jeffrey Goldsmith played a key role in helping MedU populate their course with real-life patient scenarios.

"The CARE program will be a valuable starting point for medical students to lean to identify, treat and refer patients with the disease of Addiction," said Dr. Schwartz.

The course will be available starting July 2014.
