ASAM Part of a National Collaborative that Receives the ACEhp 2015 Outstanding Educational Collaboration Award for the Collaborative for REMS Education (CO*RE)
CHEVY CHASE, MD, JANUARY 30, 2015 ─ The Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions (ACEhp) announced the winners of the 2015 awards competition. ASAM is proud to be part of the Collaboration for REMS Education (CO*RE) which won Best Collaboration of 2015.
Each year the Alliance recognizes organizations and members for their contributions to the field of continuing education for professionals in healthcare education. A formal awards ceremony was held January 15, 2015 during the organization’s annual conference, at the Gaylord Texan Conference Center in Grapevine, Texas.
“It is our great pleasure to honor the best and brightest in our field,” said ACEhp Interim Executive Director and CEO Mike Saxton, MEd, FACEHP, CCMEP. “This year’s awardees are highly deserving of these awards for the valuable contributions they’ve made to our profession and to their respective organizations.”
ASAM staff recognized at the event, include; Penny S. Mills, Arlene C. Deverman, Molly Mazuk, Alexandra Unger, and Uniqua Almanzar. ASAM physicians contributing to the success of the collaboration include the ASAM ER/LA REMS Committee; Edwin Salsitz, MD, FASAM, Chair, Herbert Malinoff, MD, FACP, FASAM, Vice Chair, R. Corey Waller, MD, MS, FACEP, Theodore Parran, Jr., MD, FACP and Yngvild Olsen, MD, MPH.
