ASAM Members Featured in Mediaplanet Campaign

Several ASAM members are featured in Mediaplanet’s Medication Addiction campaign in which the industry united to raise awareness about the dangerous and growing prescription opioid crisis in the US. The campaign aims to educate millions about the extreme risks and often times fatalities associated with highly addictive opioids, depressants, and stimulants that are taken by patients who are usually prescribed these drugs by physicians. The campaign conducts an in-depth analysis into the epidemic that claims about 46 Americans a day to opioid overdose. The special report was distributed through USA Today on March 27th, 2015 and is published online.
