ASAM Member Elected President of American Society for Adolescent Psychiatry

ASAM member Sheldon D. Glass, MEd, MD, has been elected President of ASAP (The American Society for Adolescent Psychiatry). ASAP continues to be the only national academic psychiatric organization dedicated solely to the mental health of adolescents.

Dr. Glass has expressed that ASAM has been a rich source of training and information that has helped him develop both adolescent and adult programs using a "cross fertilization" of ideas. Dr. Glass has been board certified in pediatrics, psychiatry, adolescent psychiatry and addiction medicine. He is currently National Medical Director for MedMark, Inc. and on the part-time faculty of The Department of Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins. He is a member and former chairman of the board of trustees of Friends Research Institute (FRI).
