ASAM has partnered with AAPA to provide the 24-hour waiver training for Physician Assistants. To qualify for a waiver, PAs must:
- Be licensed under state law to prescribe schedule III, IV, and V medications for pain
- Complete 24 hours of education through a qualified provider
- Demonstrate the ability to treat and manage OUD through other training or experience
If you have completed the 8-hour live or online course already, you need to register for the "Part 2: NP/PA 16-Hour Waiver Training" through the eLearning Center.
If you are taking the full 24-hour course online, you need to register for the "Part 1: the ASAM Treatment of Opioid Use Disorder Course: Includes Waiver Qualifying Requirements" through the e-Learning Center.
