The ASAM 2014 Review Course in Addiction Medicine prepares you by using a variety of educational tools and products. 

The Curriculum

The ASAM Review Course Curriculum was carefully developed through review of past Board Exam outcomes, interviews with examination planners about areas of weakness in exam results and is specifically mapped to ABAM's 2014 Board Certification/Recertification Blueprint. The ASAM Board Examination Study Tool (BEST) helps prepare physicians for the ABAM certification/
re-certification examination utilizing an interactive and engaging format. This online learning tool includes: study material and over 350 sample test questions and answers; sustained access to the training material; ablilty to bookmark pages, highlight text; take notes; track progress through the content; and can be accessed through supported mobile devices and tablets. The BEST is included at no additional charge with registration to ASAM’s 2014 Review Course in Addiction Medicine.

The Texts

ASAM's textbook, Principles of Addiction Medicine, 5th Edition, is the basic reference text for the Review Course.  Speakers will refer to and drawn from this text often as part of their presentations.  Copies will be available for purchase at the Review Course or by clicking this link.  In addition, the quick reference book, Principles of Addiction Medicine: The Essentials of Addiction Medicine is a comprehensive overview of virtually every topic.  Click here for more details.
