The ER/LA Opioid REMS: Achieving Safe Use While Improving Patient Care course was developed by nationally known experts in the ER/LA opioid field. ASAM’s REMS course is CO*RE-branded material, but will also include a special focus on addiction medicine. Utilizing dynamic media presentation tools, this critical content will be presented through a variety of formats including lecture, case study, interactive audience response activities, and open discussion.

Who Should Attend

The intended audience is all prescribers of ER/LA Opioids and all those affected by the prescription of ER/LA Opioids. This includes: pain specialists, primary care physicians, physician assistants, advanced practice nurses, dentists, pharmacists, addiction medicine physicians, psychiatrists, neurologists, psychologists, and therapists.

ASAM's CO*RE REMS CME Information

The American Society of Addiction Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The American Society of Addiction Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 3 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Participants, both live and remote, must complete the course assessment and evaluation to claim credit. Attendees should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

This Live activity has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 3.0 Prescribed credit(s) by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
