Abstract Awards Competition

 ASAM Annual Conference Program Planning Committee Award

The ASAM Annual Conference Program Planning Committee Award will be given to the author of the submitted abstract receiving the highest rating for its scientific merit. The award will be made on the basis of new ideas or findings of importance to the field of addiction medicine, their methodology and clarity of presentation, as judged by the Committee.

Young Investigator Award

ASAM will recognize the best paper (based on a submitted abstract) by a Young Investigator. This award is presented to a paper’s first author who is within five years of the completion of a medical residency or receipt of a doctoral degree (e.g., MD, PhD, DSc, etc.). A first author who fits this category should so indicate on the abstract form.

ASAM - Millennium Research Institute Annual Conference Program Committee Award

This new award will be for the best abstract submitted for ASAM’s Annual Conference on the topic of drug testing, medication management, or biomarkers.

Note: This award is sponsored by Millennium Research Institute. Millennium Research Institute will not be involved with the nomination and/or final selection process.
