About the Live Trainings

The Live trainings will be broken into one-and-a-half-days.

  1. Day 1: 8-Hour ASAM DATA 2000 Course
    The 8-hour section of the training provided by the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) is for clinicians who plan to obtain a waiver to prescribe buprenorphine in office-based treatment of opioid use disorders. The course also covers all medications and treatments for opioid use disorder. This course is SAMHSA-supported and meets the requirements needed to obtain the waiver to prescribe buprenorphine in office-based treatment of opioid use disorder.
  2. Day 2: 4-Hour OhioMHAS Implementation Training
    The 4-hour section of the training provided the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) will include topics on motivational interviewing, low-dose prescribing, treatment referrals, and other areas related to implementation.
