Position Title: Marketing Manager

Reports To: Vice-President of Marketing, Membership & Engagement

Status: Exempt

Position Summary:

ASAM is searching for a successful Marketing Manager who will drive an integrated strategy and messaging across digital channels, with focus on email, social media, and paid media (including web ads, retargeting ads, and search engine marketing). As a part of the Marketing, Membership and Engagement team this manager also creates and supports marketing print campaigns, collateral creation and digital advertising. This position reports directly to the Vice-president of Marketing, Membership and Engagement.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee email strategy and best practices to ensure high-quality digital marketing activities across the organization, focusing on email, social media and paid media.
  • Identify and implement strategies to increase traffic and conversions through social and search optimization.
  • Manage and execute paid social media efforts: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to re-purpose ASAM content for use in lead generation campaigns and webinars
  • Manage email and social media calendars as part of an overall ASAM marketing and promotions schedule.
  • Collaborate with ASAM internal team to execute all digital marketing initiatives and campaigns.
  • Monitor and analyze key engagement metrics across digital channels (open rates/click-through/deliverability/ conversions/etc.) to identify and recommend modifications as needed
  • Initiate AdWords and Google retargeting ads: Manage web page tagging, web creative and placement of ads for targeted campaigns, providing tracking and analysis post-campaign.
  • Responsible for generating ad revenue for ASAM.org and select email publications.
  • Responsible for planning and budgetary control of all digital marketing.
  • Supervise digital marketing staff (email marketing specialists and graphic designers).

Qualifications: Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years of hands-on digital marketing experience required.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience required.
  • 1+ year of experience with email metrics and online analytics tools (Hootsuite, Google Adwords, KeyHole Google Analytics) required.
  • Must have professional social media strategy/posting experience (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn).
  • Proven knowledge integrating online marketing channels—including organic, paid, social, lead generation, and microsite landing pages.
  • Experience working with graphic designers a plus.
  • Experience in health care association and physician audiences a plus.
  • Degree in Business, Communications or Marketing preferred.

  • Solid project manager. Proven project management and organizational skills and can effectively manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.

Estimated Time Allocation:

  • 70% Time Spent – Executing digital marketing campaigns
  • 20% Time Spent – Manage and support broader marketing initiatives
  • 10% Time Spent – Administration, reporting and measurement

Salary Range: $55,000 - $60,000 (with a robust benefits package)
