Position Title: Specialist, Graphic Designer (Web & Digital Media)

Reports to: Manager, Marketing

Status: Non-exempt 

Role Summary

ASAM is seeking a Graphic Designer working as part of the Marketing, Membership and Engagement team to manage our website presence as webmaster and design effective graphics for our websites, social media, and other digital platforms. 

The candidate will work to design and implement digital marketing content, video content and support team as back up graphic designer for our existing printed collateral materials.  We are looking for someone who speaks the language of the web and is proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier, and InDesign). Basic working knowledge of Adobe After Effects a plus.

This candidate should be motivated, reliable, thorough, and excited about designing content on web platforms and for ASAM products and services with the potential to improve lives across a wide range of audiences.


  • Development and maintenance of all our website content and branding protocols located at ASAM.org in Sitefinity CMS and several lead generation microsites hosted in WordPress CMS.
  • Developing digital banners, cards, videos and content for interacting with our online community, including our website, blog and video channels.
  • Creating 1-2 free online resources each month to drive leads, subscribers, awareness, and/or other important metrics (examples include ebooks, infographics, how to guides, etc.).
  • Create PSDs for visual layout of web pages and convert each design into HTML and CSS and implement in sitefinity or WordPress environment
  • Maintain and update all JQuery and widget plugins across our various websites
  • Implement and maintain high-quality SEO policies, GDHR adherence and incorporate them with lead generation content produced for the websites
  • Remove any “dead” links and respond to issues with site functionality across organization.
  • Create mock-ups for proposed project pages/landing pages for lead generation and update them as needed.
  • Provide support and monitor ASAM member-only online community forums
  • Serve as back-up brand print and collateral designer during peak volume times to support organization objective.

  • Online community monitoring and maintenance 10%


  • Bachelors or equivalent degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, or related discipline and 3+ years work experience in a related field.
  • Deep understanding of HTML/CSS/Java script and modern web design principles.
  • Familiarity with PHP
  • Proficiency working with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier and InDesign.
  • Basic use of Adobe After Effects a plus.
  • Experience with Sitefinity CMS and WordPress CMS is a plus.
  • Demonstrable experience with video/audio capture and editing required.

Recruiting Salary Range: $47,000 - $50,000 (with a robust benefits package)
