The American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) has created two resources so physicians treating addiction can access the ASAM National Practice Guideline for the Use of Medications in the Treatment of Addiction Involving Opioid Use anytime, anywhere. The National Practice Guideline Pocket Guide and App will allow physicians to consult the only document to include all FDA-approved medications used to treat addiction in both hard-copy and digital form.
The ASAM National Practice Guideline Pocket Guide was developed with the assistance of Dr. Chinazo Cunningham, MD, MS and Dr. Marc Fishman, MD, both ASAM members who were fundamental in the creation of the guideline itself. Within the Pocket Guide are the key points on diagnosing and treating opioid use disorder with medication. The Pocket Guide is available for purchase and below is a link to the document for viewing purposes only.
