SAMHSA Releases National Survey on Drug Use and Health

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) celebrated the kick-off of its 23rd annual Recovery Month initiative today and released the results of the 2011 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH).  The results reveal a reduction in the non-medical use of prescription drugs among Americans aged 18-25 and a rise in heroin use for persons aged 12 and older.  Marijuana use also continues to rise.  Learn more about the 2011 NSDUH results and about SAMHSA’s Recovery Month.
