A funding opportunity from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is currently available to study and prevent the spread of viral hepatitis.
By focusing on the medically under-served in conjunction with those affected by Hepatitis B and/or Hepatitis C, the purpose of this grant is to initiate the early identification of persons with infections. In addition, this project intends to focus on providing testing, counseling, treatment, and education to those who have already been infected, as well as ensure that new cases of viral hepatitis are prevented.
