ASAM is a professional society representing over 3,700 physicians and associated professionals dedicated to increasing access and improving the quality of addiction treatment; educating physicians, other medical professionals and the public; supporting research and prevention; and promoting the appropriate role of physicians in the care of patients with addiction.

The ASAM headquarter hotel, Hilton Baltimore, is a beautiful hotel 15 minutes from Baltimore Washington International (BWI) and located in the Inner Harbor district, a prime business and cultural area in Baltimore, MD. The hotel features artwork from more than 40 local artists and provides spectacular views of the inside of the Camden Yards baseball stadium. 

The Hilton Baltimore hotel is a short walk from many of Baltimore's leading tourist attractions, including the famous Inner Harbor, Camden Yards - home to the Baltimore Orioles, M&T Football Stadium - home of the Baltimore Ravens, the University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins University. The ASAM Fundamentals Workshop

The ASAM Fundamentals of Addiction Medicine is a practical, case-based course designed to support primary care providers and clinicians and general psychiatrics in their clinical treatment of patients at risk for or with substance use disorders (SUD).

The ASAM Pain & Addiction Course

8:00 am - 5:30 pm (Additional Fees Apply)

This year's course will examine evidence-based methods of treating complex patients. The course reviews how to treat pain patients who are at risk for addiction and addiction patients with real pain problems.
