Mental health and addiction policies are hot topics these days on Capitol Hill! Take advantage of your proximity to Capitol Hill and schedule a short visit with your Congressperson or Senators. Share your concerns and your expertise as they relate to federal alcohol, drug and addiction treatment policies.
ASAM's staff will arrange the visits for you. Staff will also provide advocacy training before you arrive in Washington and a breakfast orientation the morning of the event. The training will include: an overview of timely issues and legislation, talking points for your Hill appointments, and general grassroots advocacy tips and techniques.
