Medical Director Position
The Physicians' Health Foundation of Louisiana is seeking an experienced psychiatrist or addictionist to serve as full-time Medical Director. This position requires clinical experience in addictions and board certification in psychiatry or primary care specialty. For primary care candidates, ASAM certification is required. Additional credentials in addiction are preferred for psychiatry candidates.
The position entails working with physicians suffering from substance related and other psychiatric disorders. This position also requires leadership, staff supervision, public speaking, advocacy efforts with the state licensure agency and other entities, policy development, outreach, and computer skills. It is an excellent opportunity to work with a statewide program and to further its mission of assisting physicians in the state of Louisiana.

Chemical Dependency Detox Physician Needed
FT position for a physician qualified to provide detoxification services to individuals with chemical dependency. Serenity Lane, a private, not for profit specialty hospital located in Eugene, Oregon, has been treating this population since 1973. We are Joint Commission, CARF, and State of Oregon accredited to provide addiction treatment services. We are a 12 Step, abstinence based program. However, pharmacological interventions for depression, psychosis, and/or other mental health disorders are recognized as appropriate. Ongoing treatment does not include medications that are addictive, such as benzodiazepines, except for purposes of tapering a patient off certain classifications of drugs.
The successful candidate will function as part of a team. The scope of patient care where the physician has full authority is limited to those in the hospital unit. Patients in our residential and outpatient programs are under the responsibility of our clinical team. It is imperative that the candidate be comfortable working with professionals in disciplines other than medicine and be willing to follow their directives.

The Ohio Physicians Health Program: Psychiatrist
The Ohio Physicians Health Program (OPHP) is seeking an experienced psychiatrist or addictionist to serve as full-time Medical Director. This position reports directly to the OPHP Board of Trustees.
The position requires a physician (MD/DO) with board certification in psychiatry or a primary specialty, who understands the importance of physician health and how supporting the health of physicians will enhance patient safety.
The candidate should have a minimum of five years clinical experience in addiction treatment and recovery with a working knowledge of twelve step recovery, as well as additional credentials in addiction medicine or addiction psychiatry. Training / knowledge in the areas of mental health and wellbeing are also desirable. Superior communication, leadership, and public speaking skills are essential. Previous administrative and management experience will be of value. Strong computer skills with data base and EMR experience including familiarity with outcomes measurement and continuous improvement will further define the ideal candidate.
