What Are Your Healthcare Policy Issues?
ASAM's leadership needs your feedback to help determine ASAM's legislative policy priorities.  Please send your responses to advocacy@asam.org and indicate what federal (and/or state) healthcare policies are priorities for you.  As an example, other members have indicated that one or more of the following policies are of concern:

  • parity in healthcare coverage for substance abuse treatment
  • removal of 30 patient-per-physician limitation regarding the prescribing of buprenorphine
  • omission of certain addiction medications in the prescription drug formularies in Medicare's Part D drug benefit
